Whitwater consists of three pools located on the outskirts of Whitchurch. All are well stocked with a mix of carp (up to double figures), crucian carp, roach, rudd, tench, perch and bream.

Many of the pegs have features that can be easily reached with a pole and all three waters are fairly shallow so a simple approach can score well.

A code to the locked gate is required and there is plenty of parking. A toilet is also provided.

Shropshire Union Canal

A variety of pegs available, many with features on the far bank and perfect for pole fishing. There are the usual roach, bream, gudgeon, eels and perch, however there are also a few decent size chub and carp waiting on the far bank on the Soudley stretches.

A tri-party agreement has been reached between Wyche Anglers, Hodnet Anglers and Wem Anglers. This agreement allows members to fish, for pleasure, between bridge 48 through to bridge 58 until further notice.

Recently acquired, in conjunction with Crewe Amalgamated Anglers, a bi-party leasehold of sections of the Shropshire Union Canal as Follows:

• Bridge 48 (Park Heath) - Bridge 51 (Soudley)
• And with Hodnet AA - Bridge 51 (Soudley) - Bridge 53 (Hinstock)

River Weaver, Nantwich

Austerson Old Hall - two meadows upstream from sign on stile

This is the stretch of water from from one meadow upstream of bridge on A530 south side of Nantwich, through the town to Beam Bridge, Barony Road A51. There's some great sport to be had on this river, with great bags of chub and dace to be had along with roach, bream, tench, rudd, perch, carp, gudgeon, eels and the odd trout.

There are plenty of pegs with overhanging willows and slower moving pegs that can be fished with a pole. There is also a weir with platforms and a mill right in the town.
